• You’re staying in a neighbourhood mid-revival. Mirvish Village is restoring dozens of historic buildings while constructing a new urban centre, reconnecting with its legacy as a cultural hotspot. Steps from University of Toronto, independent cafes, vintage shops, and tree-lined streets, the area balances walkability with the energy of a neighbourhood rediscovering itself. We’re not just located here—we’re contributing to its renaissance, and we know every corner worth exploring.

  • Nomas Hotel was born from seeing opportunity in transformation. When we discovered a tired early-1900s brick building in Mirvish Village—once a vibrant artists’ enclave—we envisioned more than renovation. We saw a chance to create a modern cultural hub where travellers don’t just visit Toronto, they live in it. Drawing inspiration from Paris’s Maison de Verre, which served as a salon for Constructivists and Surrealists in the 1920s, we’ve built a contemporary gathering place that blends Toronto’s industrial roots with global design sensibility. This isn’t accommodation—it’s your second home in the city.

  • Like the Streamline Moderne movement of the 1930s, our design embraces horizontal lines, rounded corners, and the tension between industrial materials and bold colour. Every element—from custom millwork to extensive glass block installations that create shifting light patterns throughout the day—pays homage to Toronto’s brick-making and rail-served industrial past while feeling distinctly contemporary. Rooms are cosy and functional with an industrial edge: minimalist without being cold, streamlined without feeling sterile. Luxurious bedding, eco-friendly toiletries, and a smoke-free environment mean comfort doesn’t compromise intention.

  • There’s no conventional lobby. Your experience begins by navigating through Bellis, our ground-level café-bar that doubles as our hidden entrance. Weave through the narrow “alleyway” space, past conversations at booths and the bar, before reaching your room—access codes sent in advance, essentials already in place. This isn’t a gimmick; it’s intentional immersion. Bellis opens daily for drinks, coffee by expert baristas (forget the in-room Nespresso), and bites that turn it into a social anchor for guests and locals alike. Pick up breakfast, strike up conversations, become part of the neighbourhood rhythm. It’s where you’ll find yourself returning, whether you’re staying with us or not.

  • Fast WiFi that actually works (complimentary throughout). Workspaces that aren’t sad corner desks. 24-hour customer service because travel emergencies don’t respect business hours. Room service, on-property security, locally curated experiences, and fitness perks at nearby studios. We’ve anticipated the things that make stays smooth and stylish—the practical infrastructure that lets you focus on why you came to Toronto in the first place.
